Overview

Verato is a healthcare technology company focused on identity resolution and data integrity, operating in a highly regulated environment where trust and accuracy are critical. As the platform scaled, teams needed a clear experience strategy to align decisions across product, design, and go to market.

Role

As creative director and experience strategy lead, I set the UX vision and guided a design team in executing against a shared experience framework. I partnered with product and engineering leaders to translate technical complexity into a coherent system that supported confident decision-making as the organization grew.

The Challenge

As Verato scaled, teams struggled to make consistent decisions about how to communicate trust, identity, and data integrity across a complex and regulated platform. Key challenges included:

  • Fragmented decisions across product, design, and go to market teams

  • Difficulty translating technical depth into a coherent customer experience

  • Inconsistent expression of trust across product and messaging

  • Slower decision-making as complexity and risk increased

The Approach

The work focused on designing an experience strategy and system that helped teams make consistent decisions about trust, identity, and data integrity across a complex healthcare platform.

Key elements of the approach included:

  • Defining a clear experience framework to align product, design, and go to market decisions

  • Translating technical and regulatory complexity into shared experience principles teams could use in day to day decision-making

  • Establishing a scalable structure for content, interface, and interaction design across the platform

  • Guiding a design team to execute within a unified experience system as the product evolved

  • Designed experience principles that accounted for accessibility, clarity, and trust in a regulated healthcare environment

  • Enabled more consistent decisions about how trust, identity, and data integrity were expressed across the platform

  • Improved alignment between product, design, and go to market teams through a shared experience framework

  • Reduced ambiguity when translating technical and regulatory complexity into customer-facing experiences

  • Supported scalable execution by giving teams clear principles to guide ongoing product and experience decisions
